Edu Miranda is an unavoidable name of Portuguese and Brazilian music that comes from a traditional school of Brazilian chorinho.

He has developed an intense work as mandolinist, guitarist and producer of several musical projects in Portugal.
In his solo works, we can find influences from fado, original themes and traditional Brazilian chorinhos in a happy and relaxed atmosphere.

The acoustic sound of the mandolin and the Brazilian chorinho, marked 3 decades of collaborations with great names of music in Portugal, such as Rui Veloso, Pedro Jóia, Raquel Tavares, Marco Rodrigues, Carminho, Mário Laginha and Maria João, Cuca Roseta, Martinho da Vila, António Chainho, Sergio Godinho, Luís Represas, Dino D`Santiago, Lura, Ricardo Ribeiro, Hidden Dances, Paulo Flores, Amina Alaoui, Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, among others.

The Brazilian rhythms of the CD “CHORO DE LONGE” were the basis for “FADO DE LONGE 1 and 2”, two CDs with an unprecedented approach to fado in chorinho. The journey continued through the “EDU MIRANDA TRIO AO VIVO” ALBUM, where melodies and rhythms of Portuguese and African music shared the space with Brazilian origins.
